How settler violence devastates West Bank's olive harvest
ISRAELI OCCUPIED WEST BANK, 20 Oct. - (ANA) - Across the occupied West Bank, the olive harvest, one of Palestine’s most cherished cultural traditions, is underway.
But every year, Israeli settlers have a tradition of their own: attacking farmers and disrupting the harvest in whatever ways they can.
Olive farming supports the livelihoods of roughly 100,000 Palestinian families.
But the economic toll of Israeli settler attacks and military operations has been devastating, with tens of millions in damages caused to the industry last year.
And this year, settler attacks across the West Bank are occurring at the highest rate ever recorded by the UN. - (ANA) -
