Paris – King Mohammed VI of Morocco has had a telephone conversation today with the French President François Hollande about the forthcoming visit to the kingdom of the French head of state to chair the 11th joint commission in Rabat on 12 December. This regular contact characterises the importance of the relationship between the two countries and illustrates the exceptional cooperation and the density of the ongoing political dialogue on various relevant issues.
The President underlined the priority he gives to relaunch the cooperation with Mediterranean countries including Morocco. He also reiterated the French support to a united and prosperous Maghreb that would benefit the whole of the Mediterranean basin.
The two heads of state emphasized their agreement on the rapid solution to the Malian problem and the insecurity in the Sahel region.
