Abuja, 15 May-(ANA)-Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Power, Senator Nicholas Yahaya Ugbane, over his alleged involvement in the misappropriation of over N6 billion in the contracts awarded by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).
Three members of the House of Representatives including the Chairman, House Committee on Power, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu; his deputy, Hon. Mohammed Jibo and the House Committee Chairman on Rural Development, Hon. Paulinus Igwe, have also being detained in connection with the alleged crime.(ANA)
