Trapped Hamas fighters killed in Gaza as Israeli forces launch raid in northern West Bank
ISRAELI OCCUPIED GAZA, 26 Nov. - (ANA) - Israeli gunfire and airstrikes were reported in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday in the latest violation of the ceasefire, while Israel confirmed it had received the remains of another captive that had been held in the territory.
The Nasser Hospital announced the death of a Palestinian from wounds he sustained after being shot by Israeli forces in the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis. An airstrike was reported on Rafah Wednesday morning.
Israeli authorities on Wednesday confirmed that the latest remains handed over by Palestinian militants this week were that of an Israeli captive held in Gaza, identified as Dror Or.
The Israeli army also said it had killed five Hamas fighters on Tuesday who had probably emerged from a tunnel network in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, still under Israeli occupation.
Hundreds of Hamas fighters have been trapped in the tunnels for weeks, with Israel refusing to give them safe passage.
In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces conducted wide-scale raids across a group of towns and villages, including Tubas, where residents were forcibly expelled and their homes turned into military outposts as helicopters flew over the city. - (ANA) -
