Amnesty warns Israel genocide 'not over' despite ceasefire

LONDON, 27 Nov. - (ANA) - Israel's genocide against Palestinians is 'not over' despite the 10 October ceasefire, rights group Amnesty International warned.

In a new briefing, Amnesty provided legal analysis, along with testimonies from Palestinians, medical staff and humanitarian workers on the ongoing conditions of Palestinians in Gaza.

"Israel's Genocide is not over," Agnès Callamard, Amnesty International's Secretary General, said. "The ceasefire risks creating a dangerous illusion that life in Gaza is returning to normal."

"There has been no meaningful change in the conditions Israel is inflicting on Palestinians in Gaza and no evidence to indicate that Israel's intent has changed," despite a reduction in the scale of attacks, and some limited improvements, the organisation said in a statement.  - (ANA) -
