Israeli strikes target central, south Gaza, as dozens detained in West Bank
ISRAELI OCCUPIED GAZA AND WEST BANK, 14 Dec. - (ANA) - Israeli forces renewed their strikes and shelling across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, despite a ceasefire being in effect since early October.
Israeli airstrikes targeted Rafah and Khan Younis, south of Gaza, while forces opened fire from military vehicles.
According to several reports in local media, Israeli naval boats also opened fire at civilians from along the coast of Khan Younis. Israeli forces further targeted civilians in Gaza City with live ammunition.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued their violent crackdown on the occupied West Bank, detaining nine Palestinians during their raid of al-Zawiya, in the central West Bank province of Salfit, including brothers, Wafa reports.
Israeli soldiers raided the town, searching homes, causing damage, and detaining Palestinians, in an ongoing campaign of launching frequent raids and restricting Palestinian movement by installing military checkpoints.
At least 25 Palestinians were also detained in Hebron as Israeli forces carried out raids in the city and the nearby town of Halhul.
