DUBAI, 21 Sept. - (ANA) - Twelve commodity vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz over the weekend, down from 35 the previous weekend, shipping data shows.

 

Visible traffic through the strait has dwindled, with some Middle Eastern oil exports continuing aboard tankers with transponders switched off.

 

Data from the Kpler monitor showed four vessels exited Sunday, while two smaller oil tankers entered the Gulf. On Saturday, five vessels departed carrying agricultural products, liquefied petroleum gas and fertiliser, while an empty gas carrier entered.

 

Before the war began on February 28, Hormuz typically handled about 125 large commercial vessels daily, including tankers, gas carriers, bulk carriers and container ships.   - (ANA) -
