Trump says US will ‘finish the job’ if Iran doesn't change course
WASHINGTON, 19 Oct. - (ANA) - US President Donald Trump has warned that Washington will “soon finish the job” unless Iran rapidly changes its ways. He also endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for re-election.
"They have been systematically destroyed, both militarily and financially, and unless they change their ways, rapidly, we will soon finish the job," Mr Trump said in a lengthy post on Truth Social.
He warned that the US may have to take on the task itself if Israel elects a different leader.
“If Israel has the wrong leader, which would be anyone other than Bibi, America will have to do this work ourselves, and I am not inclined to do so,” he wrote, referring to Mr Netanyahu by his nickname.
Mr Trump described the Israeli leader as a “great warrior Prime Minister” and an “even greater partner for peace” in the campaign against Iran.
He said Iran’s long-standing anti-Israel and anti-US rhetoric showed the threat posed by Tehran, quoting the slogans “Death to Israel, death to America,” and “We will destroy the little Satan and the big Satan”.
Mr Trump said he believed Iran would eventually have acted on those threats if it had not been confronted. - (ANA) -
