 Global Insurance Market Trends 2026

PARIS, 07 Nov. - (ANA) - his edition of Global Insurance Market Trends provides comparable data on insurance markets in 2025 in over 50 OECD and non-OECD jurisdictions.

It represents a comprehensive source of information for government authorities, regulators, finance ministries and central banks, the insurance sector, the research community and consumers. The report is based on inputs from national insurance authorities.

It builds upon preliminary data released in June 2026 and presents the size of the insurance business, the growth rates in premiums collected and claims paid by insurers, the investment performance and the overall profitability of insurers in 2025.

The insurance sector remained resilient in 2025 despite a more uncertain and challenging risk environment. Both life and non-life insurance markets recorded strong premium growth, and profitability remained positive across most jurisdictions. At the same time, insurers operated against a backdrop of growing risks related to extreme weather events, geopolitical uncertainty and cyber threats, all of which had implications for underwriting and investment performance. These developments suggest that the sector has navigated recent challenges relatively well, while also illustrating the increasingly complex environment in which insurers operate.   - (ANA) -
