TEHRAN, 28 Feb.  (ANA) - Almost all Iranian officials are "healthy and alive" after US-Israeli strikes reportedly targeted the country's leadership, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

 

"Almost all officials are healthy and alive. We may have lost one or two commanders, but this is not a big problem," he told NBC.

 

Mr Araghchi held phone calls with foreign ministers across the region, according to a statement by his ministry. It said he spoke to the ministers of the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Iraq after Tehran targeted US bases in the region.

 

Mr Araghchi spoke to the ministers about the "flagrant violation" committed by the US and Israel against his country and said Tehran was acting in "self-defence".  - (ANA) -
