RIYADH, 28 Feb. - (ANA) - Saudi Arabia strongly condemned what it described as “blatant and cowardly” Iranian attacks targeting Riyadh and the Eastern Province, saying the assaults were intercepted in a statement issued by the kingdom's foreign ministry.

 

The kingdom said the attacks were unjustifiable and came despite assurances to Tehran that it would not allow its airspace or territory to be used to launch strikes against Iran.

 

"In light of this unjustified aggression, the kingdom affirms that it will take all necessary measures to defend its security and safeguard its territory, its citizens and its residents, including the option of responding to the aggression," the ministry said in a statement.  - (ANA) -
