Resistance is Existence: DiEM25 Brings Key Voices of Defiance to London on March 24th
London, 5 March 2026
LONDON, 05 March. - (ANA) - As Britain and Europe move deeper into militarisation, inequality and ecological collapse, the political establishment offers only surveillance, war and austerity. Democratic rights are being eroded, public services are being dismantled, and entire generations are being told that sacrifice is inevitable. In this context, resistance is no longer a slogan: it is a condition for survival.
Across Europe, resistance to war, climate destruction, authoritarianism, racism and exploitation is growing. Unfortunately, too often these struggles remain isolated, divided by borders and political silos.
“DiEM25 exists because division must end. We bring together citizens, activists, thinkers and politicians across borders, in a network capable of harnessing power for people, and away from corporations, weapons manufacturers, and unaccountable elites.“ Erik Edman, DiEM25 Political Director
On March 24th, at Troxy in London, DiEM25 will host key voices of resistance that the establishment tries to silence, for an evening of political debate, culture, and collective defiance.
The event, Resistance Is Existence: The Fight For Our Future, will feature Yanis Varoufakis, Jeremy Corbyn, Zack Polanski, Francesca Albanese, Grace Blakeley, Brian Eno, Laura Pidcock, Sre?ko Horvat and Erik Edman, including poetry by Inua Ellams and comedy by Francesca Martinez and Shappi Khorsandi.
This gathering comes at a moment when those who speak for peace are attacked, those who defend international law are vilified, and those who challenge economic dogma are considered dangerous. DiEM25 rejects this logic of fear and fatalism — proposing in its stead an organised, international and hopeful resistance. - (ANA) -
